FLWA commends state budget as ‘pro-people’

ITANAGAR, 13 Mar: The Former Legislators’Welfare Association (FLWA) commended the state Budget 2025-26 as “pro-people,” saying that the budget would immensely benefit the people of the state.

Welcoming Budget 2025-26 as “excellent” for inclusive development of the state, the association’spresident Tanyong Tatak and secretary-general Anok Wangsa said that the “reformative vision and dynamic outlook of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein have been reflected in the budget.”

Highlighting some of the budget proposals, the association said that “enhancement of Rs 6,000 each for all categories of non-regular government employees is a major step taken for the welfare of the needy employees.”

The proposed 3rd party monitoring would definitely ensure effective implementation of the development schemes through various agencies, the association said, and added that the government’s decision to increase the number of secretaries from the state APCS cadre would “expedite the working system of the state.”

The association further said that the Rs 3,000-crore budget allocation to the education department would “significantly uplift the department with quality education to the children.”
