Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to the concerns of aspirants regarding the upcoming Combined Engineering Services Mains Examination, currently scheduled to be held on 6 and 7 September, 2025.
While candidates have welcomed the recent efforts of the APPSC to streamline and enhance the recruitment process, the introduction of a newly revised syllabus at this stage has understandably created challenges for aspirants. The revised syllabus demands substantial additional preparation time, particularly for working professionals and fresh graduates who were previously aligning their studies with the older pattern.
A minimum extension of 1.5 months, or ideally, rescheduling the exam to the end of September 2025 would provide a fair and reasonable buffer for candidates to prepare thoroughly as per the new syllabus. This additional time will not only ensure a level playing field but also uphold the standards of merit-based selection that the commission has always strived to maintain.
Many sincere aspirants are under immense stress due to the abrupt changes and tight timeline. We, therefore, earnestly request the commission to consider this appeal for an extension, keeping in view the larger interest of transparency, fairness, and academic integrity.
