Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to the long-pending examinations for the posts of finance and accounts officer/treasury officer, assistant audit officer, and research assistant, which were advertised in 2021 and 2022.
It has been a considerable wait for the aspiring candidates, and I firmly believe that under the current composition of the commission, this is an opportune time to conduct all pending examinations, rather than selectively moving ahead with a few.
I also humbly urge the chairman and the respected members of the commission to consider the loss of productivity, both for the state and the candidates. The wastage of youthful energy, agility, and ingenuity, which could otherwise be harnessed in the service of the state and its people, is a serious concern that deserves due attention.
I, therefore, sincerely request the commission to schedule the economics and finance stream examinations at the earliest possible date, in the larger interest of leveraging youthful energy for public service.
Charu Balboa,
Naharlagun
