Editor,
Through your respected daily, I would like to express appreciation for the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for conducting the recent engineering services recruitment test in a fair and transparent manner.
This year’s exam stood out for its quality – conceptual, analytical, and calculation – based questions replacing the usual repetitive and copied formats. It’s evident that genuine effort went into setting the paper, and for that, the commission deserves due credit.
However, I would like to make a few earnest requests on behalf of many aspirants. First, timely declaration of results is crucial, as uncertainty only adds to the stress of the candidates. Second, we urge the commission to release the results along with individual marks, which would add a layer of transparency and help candidates assess their performance clearly.
Lastly, the tentative timeline of just one month before the written examination is simply not enough. Given the depth and seriousness of the exam, at least two months of preparation time would be a fair ask.
We hope the commission continues this positive momentum while also considering these constructive suggestions.
AESE aspirant
