Appeal to maintain exam schedule

Editor,

Through your esteemed daily, I would like to request the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) not to delay the assistant engineer mains examination, scheduled for 6 and 7 September.

The examination process has already been delayed compared to the scheduled examination calendar. Further postponement will result in serious consequences for many aspirants, especially those who may cross the upper age limit if the dates are extended.

I also take this opportunity to address the Arunachal Frontier Tribal Front team led by Tadak Nalo. While we fully respect your team’s fundamental rights and concerns, I humbly request that such protests should not hamper the examination process. This is a long-awaited recruitment drive – being conducted after seven long years, apart from the unfortunate 2022 incident – and any disruption will cause undue hardship to thousands of candidates.

Regarding the time gap between the prelims and mains, I understand that the syllabus and preparation time are the same for all candidates. Everyone is facing the same challenges, but we have been preparing according to the officially announced timetable. Many aspirants, including myself, are working in government or private jobs and have already taken study leave in alignment with the scheduled dates.

In light of these facts, I earnestly urge the APPSC to proceed with the examination as scheduled and not defer the process any further, so that our years of preparation and planning do not go in vain.
