Editor,

The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has faced criticism for its handling of examinations, with frequent postponements and controversies sparking concerns about its efficiency and transparency.

I suggest that the APPSC rename itself ‘Arunachal Pradesh Postpone Service Commission’ due to the recurring delays and issues. To address these concerns, the APPSC needs to prioritize transparency, accountability, and fairness in its processes. These include:

  1. Ensuring timely and well-planned examinations without frequent postponements.
  2. Improving communication with candidates about exam schedules, results, and any changes.
  3. Enhancing accountability by addressing mistakes and controversies promptly and transparently.
  4. Providing adequate training to its staff to ensure efficient and fair conduct of exams.

The government should guide the APPSC to adopt these measures, ensuring that the commission serves the best interests of the aspirants and the state. By doing so, the APPSC can restore trust and meet the aspirations of the youths more effectively.
