Editor,

I am writing to express my gratitude to the APPSC authority for postponing the AESE-2025 mains, scheduled for 28-29 September, in consideration of the aspirants’ genuine concerns. The additional six-week timeframe will enable us to utilize the extended period judiciously for revising the syllabus and practicing mock tests and previous year’s questions.

While appreciating the changes made in the syllabus to align with other competitive exams like UPSC-ESE/GATE, I would like to bring to the commission’s attention a pressing concern. As this is the first time the exam will be held under the APPSC with the revised syllabus, it would be beneficial for candidates to have access to specimen model questions or sample papers. This practice was followed in the case of APPSCCE-2024, and it would be a valuable resource for aspirants to understand the question pattern and format.

As an electrical engineering graduate, I noticed that the previous year’s question papers available on the APPSC website are outdated (2016 syllabus), which may not be relevant for the current preparation. I request the competent authority to address this concern by uploading sample papers or model questions for the AESE-2025 on the website. This would greatly aid candidates in their preparation and help them make the most of the extended timeframe.
