Editor,
Many candidates had filed RTI applications seeking their mains and interview marks of APPSCCE 2024. Even after the mandatory 30-day period under the RTI Act, 2005 has passed, the commission has neither provided the information nor issued any reply.
As a constitutional body, the APPSC is expected to respect constitutional principles, including citizens’ right to information, which is operationalized through the RTI Act – an obligation that regrettably has not been fully followed in this case. While the APPSC has adopted the UPSC syllabus, it has not implemented other important measures followed by the UPSC, such as timely declaration of cut-offs and the prompt disclosure of prelims, mains, and interview marks after the final result.
Therefore, with folded hands, we earnestly and respectfully request the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to kindly provide all the information sought through RTI without further delay, so as to maintain transparency and confidence in the examination process.
