Editor,
As a concerned citizen and DIET student, I wish to highlight the underutilization of District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET).
Despite its potential, the DIET faces challenges since 2014, with no PRT and TGT posts advertised due to SSA regularization, causing uncertainty among students. To address this, we propose limiting SSA teacher regularization to 300 annually, with 200 fresh posts recruited, allowing freshers to bring innovative ideas and enthusiasm to provide quality education.
The APTET and the CTET should be the primary eligibility criteria for merit-based recruitment, with the APSSB conducting the recruitment process for transparency and fairness.
We urge the education minister and commissioner to address these concerns and utilize the DIET’s potential for quality education.
