ITANAGAR, 16 Jan: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) and the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) exchanged their best practices and challenges at a meeting here on Friday.

The meeting was held during the visit of MPSC Chairperson SS Chabbra here to foster inter-commission collaboration and exchange ideas on best practices.

During the meeting, the APPSC gave a detailed presentation on the establishment, achievements and new initiatives undertaken by the commission for ensuring free, fair and merit-based recruitment process, an APPSC release said.

“One of the notable initiatives highlighted in the meeting was that of outreach programmes conducted by the commission in schools and colleges to impart information on the recruitment process and to encourage students to serve the state with integrity and dedication once recruited,” the release said.

The MPSC chairperson, in turn, shared the challenges faced by the MPSC, as well as the best practices adopted by the commission.

The MPSC chairperson visited the APPSC’s new building, examination halls, interview boardrooms and PwD-friendly features of the building.

APPSC Chairperson Prof Dr Pradip Lingfa, its members Koj Tari and Rosy Taba Gongo, Secretary Priytarshnny P, and senior officials of the commission were present on the occasion.
