ANINI, 16 Mar: Circle Officer Hibu Dindie launched the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign at the Dibang Valley district hospital here on Monday, in the presence of the district medical officer, the medical superintendent, doctors, and healthcare staff of the hospital.
Addressing the gathering, Medical Superintendent Dr Rita Mena underscored the vital role of HPV vaccination in the prevention of cervical cancer, and urged all stakeholders to work in unison for the successful implementation of the programme across the district.
The public has been encouraged to ensure that girl children who have completed 14 years of age but have not yet attained 15 years avail the vaccination at the district hospital by presenting their Aadhaar cards. (DIPRO)
