TIRBIN, 14 May: A team of scientists from the ICAR AP Centre in Basar, led by veterinary extension senior scientist Dr Doni Jini, along with Wangnem Rekhung and coordinator Nyaki Lollen, conducted a diagnostic field visit to some of the livestock and poultry farmers’ fields in Tirbin circle of Leparada district on Thursday to address various problem faced by poultry farmers.

The team, in the presence of around seven farmers from Yegri and Ratak Gamlin villages, inspected housing, feeding, and biosafety problems faced during rearing of the Vanraja.

Dr Jini suggested construction of house, floor space, and biosafety measures like isolation of new stock and quarantine of sick birds, followed by deworming vaccination schedule.

The farmers were advised to adopt the IFS system developed by Binbo Gamlin, comprising livestock, poultry banana, and fishery.
