PASIGHAT, 7 May: The Border Roads Organization (BRO) celebrated its 61st raising day at its Project Brahmank headquarters here in East Siang district on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Project Brahmank Chief Engineer Padam Kumar highlighted the role and activities of the BRO in border road infrastructure development in the Northeast region of the country.
He reiterated the commitment of the BRO “to provide smooth road infrastructure to meet strategic operational requirement of the armed forces as well as contributing to faster socioeconomic development of the region.”
The programme also featured a medical camp for BRO families and labourers, creating awareness on Covid-19 safety guidelines, and a sainik sanmelan.
Kumar also gave away merit certificates to the personnel of Project Brahmank for their excellent work.
The BRO, in coordination with the East Siang district unit of the All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union distributed radios, water filters and mosquito nets to around 200 casual paid labourers of Project Brahmank. (DIPRO)
