DOIMUKH, 28 Apr: Social worker and former Sagalee ZPM HN Tedi was laid to rest at his home here in Papum Pare district on Wednesday.
Thousands of people from various walks of life paid floral tributes to the departed soul.
Tedi, who passed away on 25 April at around 10:30 pm, was a social worker and reformer of Papum Pare district. He was instrumental in the development of education in the undivided Subansiri district in general and Sagalee subdivision in particular. He was also known for several developmental initiatives in Amba village in Doimukh circle.
Late Tedi was the ZPM of Sagalee from 1980-85, and was an ASM of Amba panchayat from 2003-2008.
He was born on 26 January, 1947, in Khyate village in Sagalee administrative circle to late Nabam Mazi and late Techi Yata Nabam.
The last rites and the funeral service were performed at Amba village, in the presence of hundreds of relatives, family members and well-wishers.
Former chief minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki, Rajya Sabha member Nabam Rebia, Arunachal Cricket Association president TC Tok, former APPSC chairman Nabam Atum, TKCon Pvt Ltd MD Ratu Techi, members of the Nabam Welfare Society, led by Nabam Takar, and others attended the funeral service.
