CHANGLANG, 25 Jun: The temporary arrangement to allow commuters to cross the block point on the road to Changlang has been suspended for three days, from 27 to 29 June, owing to “impeding progress of road restoration,” the Changlang PWD said.
It will take another 20 days or so to make the road motorable for light motor vehicles, according to an order issued by Changlang DC Sunny K Singh on Friday.
However, the station superintendent has been directed to continue the APST bus service via the Changlang-Khonsa-Deomali route.
The EAC (MV/TPT) has been asked to arrange 4×4 vehicles for carrying passengers via said route “at the pre-existing rate,” the order read, adding that the excess amount will be borne by the district administration. (DIPRO)
