PASIGHAT, 15 Jul: The Rayang military station-based 20 Dogra Regiment on Friday organised ‘continuity drill, military band and weapons/equipment display’ at the sainik school in Niglok in East Siang district.
Besides the cadets of the sainik school, students from the government secondary school in Ngorlung and the government higher secondary school in Ruksin witnessed the event.
The military band, led by Naik Satpal and Sepoy Sahil Mehra, presented a concert of drill and music along with 45 other ranks.
Subedar Nardeep Singh led the weapons/equipment display, in which radio set DMR, AK 47, Insas Rifle, 9 mm pistol, LMG, etc, were displayed.
During his interaction with the cadets and the students, Col Sidhart Bhanot motivated them to join the armed forces.
Squadron Leader Gaurav Sheoran, who is also the administrative officer of the sainik school, coordinated the event.
Among others, Major Shankar Kumar, Captain Kumar Vikas, Captain PD Sherpa, and Subedar Major Dara Singh of the 20 Dogra were present during the event. (DIPRO)
