YINGKIONG, 9 Sep: The district level narco-coordination (NCORD) meeting reviewed the drug preventive measures in Upper Siang district on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering at the NCORD meeting organized by the district police at the DC’s conference hall here, Upper Siang SP Token Saring urged all line departments to come forward with innovative and effective measures to tackle drug-related cases.

He stressed the importance of coordinated action and active participation of all stakeholders to ensure a drug-free Upper Siang.

District Hospital SM Dr Karo Teng informed that the his department has conducted integrated health camps covering 10 schools, and provided update on the progress of the de-addiction centre in Yingkiong.

ICDS CDPO DD Ine Pertin informed that anganwadi workers have been sensitized to their roles and responsibilities under the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan, and actions are being implemented at the grassroots level to raise awareness and prevent drug abuse.

The meeting resolved to enhance coordination, innovation, and sustained efforts by all stakeholders to effectively prevent drug abuse and ensure the wellbeing of the youths in the district. (DIPRO)
