Naidu arrives in capital

ITANAGAR, Jun 15: Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu arrived here on Friday on a two-day visit. This is his maiden visit to the state.
Governor BD Mishra received the vice president at Raj Bhavan, where the Arunachal Pradesh Police presented a ceremonial guard of honour to the dignitary.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Chief Secretary Satya Gopal, cabinet ministers and senior officers of the state were present on the occasion.
The vice president had a brief interaction with the governor, the chief minister, the deputy CM, and the chief secretary.
Naidu is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the seepage management system and the storm water drainage system here, and to address the research scholars and faculty members of the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology in Nirjuli on 16 June. (PRO, Raj Bhavan)
