PALIN, Jun 29: Several important schemes were selected for implementation in Yaglung village in Palin and in Guchi village in Tali during the Kra Daadi District Level Committee meeting at the DC’s office here on Friday.
Yaglung and Guchi villages have been adopted as model villages in the district.
The schemes selected under the first phase of works under the CM’s Adarsh Gram Yojana include water supply system, installation of solar streetlights and animal treatment shed for Yaglung village, and constructions of septic tanks, teacher’s bachelor barracks, CC footpath and renovation of sub-centre and school for Guchi village.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu briefed the gathering on the model villages and gave details of the schemes selected by the gram sabha for scrutiny.
He advised everyone to make concerted efforts for the development of the model villages, and to prioritize the schemes on the basis of need.
“Although the BDOs are the nodal officials for model villages, they should liaise with the line departments for execution of the schemes in a proper way,” the DC said. (DIPRO)
