ROING, Jun 30: Members of the All Idu Mishmi Students Union (AIMSU) participated in an impromptu cleanliness drive on Eze bridge over the Eze river here on Friday.
The student body informed that the cleanliness drive was not planned as they were on some other assignment on the day.
“Passing through, we were disgusted to witness the bridge and the surrounding area in such a bad shape. It was looking like a dumping area with so much of plastic bags, wrappers and other garbage lying around,” the union stated in a press release.
“Eze bridge and its surrounding area are the main attraction of tourists, and its our duty to keep it clean,” it said.
The AIMSU appealed to the people to keep the bridge and the town clean. The team was led by the union’s president Mapu Mihu and GS Mompa Linggi.
