Roing, Jul 7: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal inaugurated the jan sunwai programme here on Saturday.
The concern of the state government for its people has materialized in the form of jan sunwai, which would enable the villagers in remote areas to have access to government services, Gopal said. He also stressed the need to tap the state’s potential in tourism, agriculture and horticulture sectors.
The chief secretary along with MLA Mutchu Mithi, Divisional Commissioner Gamli Padu, Tax & Excise Commissioner Anirudh Singh, NHM MD Tapasya Raghav, Lower Dibang Valley DC Mitali Namchoom and others inspected the stalls and the medical camp, and gave away certificates and benefits to the beneficiaries.
During the programme, more than 600 people availed of the health check up/medical camp. The district administration issued 320 ILPs and more than 200 new ILP forms.
The agriculture department distributed 4 tractors and 3 power tillers under the CM’s Agriculture Mechanisation Scheme. The AP Rural bank handed over loan sanction letters to 5 SHGs, and 10 Rupay KCC cards to farmers.
The horticulture department registered more than 200 farmers and distributed spray machines on the day. The tax & excise department renewed 20 licences.
50 Aadhaar enrollments were done and 500 new forms were issued by the statistics department. As many as 160 ration cards were renewed by the food & civil supplies department. Seventy people applied for learner’s licence while 11 new learner’s licences were issued. The day also saw 40 new accounts being opened by various banks of the district, and more than 300 forms under various welfare schemes were issued to the public.
The CS and team also inspected the Power Grid substation at the Deopani bridge, and the mini-secretariat being constructed here by the PWD.
Gopal later held a meeting with the HoDs to review the status of the schemes being implemented in the district. He urged the officers to “enhance their performance in beneficiary selection and Aadhaar seeding of the beneficiaries,” and advised all the departments to step up their performance in their respective sectors.
The secretary also inaugurated the multipurpose hall in Dambuk. He requested the GBs to disseminate information on the next jan sunwai, to be held at Dambuk, and advised them to bring maximum number of people to avail the facilities to be provided.
The CS and team also visited the site of the bridge over the Sisiri river at Zero Point and reviewed the status of work. (DIPRO)
