YINGKIONG/ITANAGAR, Sep 28: Cleanliness drives were carried out at various places in Upper Siang HQ Yingkiong as part of the cleanliness fortnight of the tourism ministry.
The cleanliness drives were conducted under the supervision of Tourist Information Officer Jemar Jeram Dubi at the VKV compound on 24 September; the tourist lodge complex in Yingkiong on 25 September; and the government middle school in Daggong on 27 September.
In Itanagar, the office premises of the labour & employment department and the EAC office in C Sector were cleaned up during a drive organised as part of the 15-day ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign.
Labour Commissioner Ojing Darung led the officials and staff of the department in the cleanliness drive.
Members of the Arunachal Pradesh Micro & Small Industries Development Association conducted a cleanliness drive under the ‘Swachchta Hi Seva’ campaign at Polo International mineral water plant in Nirjuli on Friday.
The plant’s proprietor Dr Tasso Malo and workers also participated in the social service.
The association’s members apprised the plant’s workers on the importance of health and hygiene.
