ITANAGAR, Oct 13: The 20th Tali Assembly Constituency People’s Forum (TACPF) has on 4 October lodged a complaint with the Special Investigation Cell (SIC), GoAP against the PHED Chief Engineer (W/Z) and Tali Sub-division PHE&WD Assistant Engineer.
The forum alleged misappropriation of funds under Revise Estimate during 2016-17 schemes for water supply at Nyobia village (amounting to Rs 100 lakhs) and strengthening of existing water supply at Nyobia-ll village (amounting to Rs 150 lakhs) under SIDF 2017-18 by using fake firms and individual names and without floating tender.
Claiming that the said issue was also raised by the 20 Tali (ST) assembly constituency MLA in the assembly on 31 August, 2018, the forum has urged the state government to immediately constitute SIC, CBI or SIT enquiry into the alleged misappropriation of fund issue.
Earlier on 21 August, 2018, the forum had lodged a complaint with the state chief secretary seeking an SIC or SIT enquiry into the issue.
