ITANAGAR, Oct 15: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that the North East region has witnessed rapid development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The region is making rapid progress in air, rail, road and digital connectivity and Arunachal has benefited greatly in the last four years under Prime Minister Modi,” the chief minister said during a meeting here with a delegation from Gujarat, led by Minister of State for Sports Ishwarsinh Thakorbhai Patel.
The delegation comprises MPs, MLAs and senior officers of that state.
Pema also highlighted the tourism, agriculture and horticulture potentials of the state.
“Tourism festivals like Ziro Music of Festival, Mechuka Adventure Festival, Tawang Festival, Orange Festival Dambuk are emerging as big hits nationally and internationally,” he said.
The chief minister said Arunachal produces high-quality kiwi, orange, large cardamom,etc, which are being exported to international markets.
He also informed them about the state’s potential in traditional handloom and handicrafts.
Later, Pema felicitated all the delegates that comprised of women MPs Darshnaben Jardosh and Bhartiben Shiyal, including MLA Sangitaben Patil. (CMO)
