SIIRO, Feb 22: Agriculture Minister Tage Taki distributed piglets to beneficiaries under the Arun Pig Development (APD) scheme here in Lower Subansiri district on Saturday.
Calling for “expanding piggery husbandry and support mechanism to propagate pig rearing in the rural areas,” the minister emphasized on scientific rearing of pigs and encouraging integrated piggery farming in the district to create sustainable means of livelihood.
He advised the farmers to learn about constructing low-cost sheds and low-cost feed formulation with locally available materials.
