ROING, Sep 26: Five drug addicts turned burglars were arrested by the Lower Dibang Valley district police on Monday.
The arrested persons accused of several theft cases in Roing Town have confessed to their crimes.
Reportedly, they became involved with burglary to procure drugs (brown sugar), informed Investigation Officer, SI Abraham Taying,
A TV, laptop, digital camera and some jewellery items were also recovered from their possession.
A criminal case has been registered against them at Roing Police Station Under Section 380 IPC.
The district police launched operation in search of the main source of brown sugar in the district, and Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Sain is closely monitoring the case.
