Social Services mark Gandhi Jayanti

ITANAGAR/ROING, Oct 3: More than 100 villagers along with students from Government Middle School Rayang, participated in a mass social service under “Swachchta hi seva”, campaign at Rayang village on Monday to mark the Gandhi Jayanti.
The cleanness drive organized by Rayang Dolung Kebang in collaboration with NGARGO SHG and ERGAM SHG was also joined by Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Deepak Shinde.
The Birup Colony Welfare Society, Itanagar also organized cleanness drives under “Swachhta hi Seva” and cleaned the area from Birup colony to IAS colony. The colony dwellers also conducted cleanliness drive at Govt. Primary School, Birup colony and outside the Raj Bhawan on the day of Gandhi Jayanti.
All Mengio Students Union along with Mengio CD Block Administration, Panchayat leaders, students of Govt. Secondary School, Mengio (Sakiang) and Market Welfare Committee members conducted cleanness drives under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Sakiang Primary Health Centre and EAC office to mark the Gandhi Jayanti.
The 12-Pakke Kessang Employees Forum (12PKEF) conducted a mass social service at Government Secondary School, Pakke Kessang on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, wherein Pakke-Kessang EAC and Headmaster of the School also participated.
To encourage the students in sports, the Forum provided some sports items, like football and volleyball to Government Secondary School, Pakke Kessang, Middle School, Khodaso, Primary School, Bazaar Line, Calvary School, Hote, Taoso Primary School and PVM School of Pakke Kessang.
The Forum also granted Rs 25,000 as one month’s salary for the hired Mathematics teacher of the Government Secondary School, Pakke Kessang.
