Officials inspect 100KW mini/micro hydel project at Sirorijo

YOMCHA, Oct 9: Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology Chairman Bamang Mangha, accompanied by a team of officials on Sunday inspected the ongoing 100KW mini/micro hydel project, a demonstration project of the central government, at Sirorijo under Yomcha circle in West Siang district.
It is a demonstration project and the centre would recommend more such projects in the state, if found successful, said Mangha.
He directed the executing agency to expedite the construction work of the mini hydel project and complete it before March, 2018 for commissioning.
Later, the team visited Rikpu Ronya and Doko Putu village under Liromoba Circle and inspected the improved traditional water mill (3 KW) and the multi-layer agro forestry scheme developed in a private land at Doko Putu, wherein different economically profitable activities, like fish farming, agriculture and horticulture will be taken up.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by the locals, Mangha directed the Project In-charge to start restoration work of the Dori (2X100KW) micro hydel project at Doku Potu, which got damaged during the last heavy rains. The Chairman also assured the villagers to look into the matter of providing operator(s) for the traditional water mill and Micro Hydel Project.
During the visit, Mangha and his team were accompanied by Chief Engineer cum Chairman Disaster Management Tanya Ronya, and HGBs Lidam Ronya and Bijum Ronya.
