ITANAGAR, Oct 16: Chindang, the post harvest festival of Sajolang community was celebrated with much fanfare at Buddha Stadium, Bomdila.
Merry making, colorful traditional dance, songs and rituals living up the olden practices were the main highlights of the celebration.
Former MP RK Khrimey attended the final day of the celebration on Sunday. He exhorted the members of the community to promote and preserve the unique culture and traditions.
On the occasion, Chief Advisor of Sajolang Elite Society Aju Khonjuju announced that he will sponsor Sangeeta Khadoju, an MBBS student, all her requirements during her study.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Bomdila) Bopai Puroik and Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Tapa Miji attended the festival.
