Eye operations mark World Sight Week at Bordumsa

BORDUMSA, Oct 16: Altogether, 60 eye patients were operated upon during the World Sight Week observation at Bordumsa CHC Monday.
On the occasion, the Kherem Kachari was declared as avoidable Blindness Free village by International Programme Coordinator of ‘Operation Eyesight Universal’ Yashwant Sinha and Zilla Parishad Chairperson T. Singpho.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Taba Khanna, SPO, National Programme for Control Blindness and Visual Impairment, highlighted the activities of the ongoing ABFAR Project and the importance of vision for living productive and dignified life by every member of the community.
The World Sight Week was observed in collaboration with Operation Eyesight Universal.
