ITANAGAR, Nov 14: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Dr B D Mishra and Chief Minsiter Pema Khandu have conveyed their good wishes and warm greetings to the people of the state on the festive occasion of Nyetrii-Dow of the Aka (Hrusso) community.
In his message, the Governor said that festivals are the means to carry forward the rich cultural heritage of the people concerned.
Celebration of festivals help the younger generation to learn and imbibe their traditions for the benefit of the community.
Joining the Akas (Hrussos) of West Kameng district in the five-day festival, Pema said that indigenous festivals like Nyethrii-Dow are the identity of the concerned tribe and spreads good feelings and bonding between the people besides connecting them to nature.
In his message, Pema specifically urged the youngsters to participate in the celebration and requested the elders to teach them the essence of the rituals associated with the celebration.
