Journal of Bio Resources Website launched

ITANAGAR, Nov 21: Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Tamo Mibang on Tuesday launched the website jbr.rgu.ac.in for ‘Journal of Bio Resources’.
The website has been brought out by the ‘Center with Potential for Excellence in Biodiversity’ (CPEB) of Rajiv Gandhi University, under the aegis of the University Grant Commission.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Mibang said that the launch of the website for the journal and making it available online is a big achievement for RGU.
“The CPEB, since its inception in 2003 has been successful in imparting education to locals regarding importance of environment and biodiversity by offering teaching programmes and dissipating the knowledge through many outreach programmes, apart from research work,” he added.
Professor H N Sarma, Coordinator of CPEB-II cum Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Bio Resources (JBR) said that RGU has the potential to reach glorious heights in the academic world, especially with the website launch.
Executive Editor, Dr Daniel Mize informed that the JBR publishes original research work on all aspects of biodiversity and acts as a platform for biodiversity researchers all over India and in turn communicate their work to the scientific community.
On the occasion, the book, ‘Traditional Medicines of Tai Khampti in Arunachal Pradesh’, which is edited by Professor Hirendra Nath Sarma and Dr Purbajyoti Saikia, was released by Professor Tomo Riba, Registrar of RGU.
