PASIGHAT, Nov 28: In all, 60 trainees from various NGOs and SHGs are taking part in a five-day training on gender-friendly food processing and preservation techniques programme, which began at the State Agriculture Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), GTC on Tuesday.
Resource persons Dalimi Chowdhury Deka from DBD food Processing industry, Guwahati and Senorita Teetu Yoka from Action Aid Society Arunachal, Naharlagun provided training on various food processing techniques, like jelly, jam and candy making.
Other resources persons, Rakesh Salem from KVK Pasighat and Assistant Director cum course Director SAMETI, Pasighat, Sengo Dini Bogum further highlighted on entrepreneurship development, while ADA, M N Bori explained various eco-friendly techniques of food preservation in Arunachal Pradesh.
