AALO, Dec 9: The 17 Garhwal Rifle based at Bogdo here in West Siang district is organising a half-marathon and a bicycle race on December 15 as part of the Vijay Diwas celebration.
The open-to-all marathon race, titled ‘Aalo Half Marathon’, will start from the military football ground here at 6 am, and pass through Patum Bridge and Kabu village, covering a distance of 21 kms, before culminating at the Aalo market ground.
The bicycle race, titled ‘Get set cycle’, will be organized on the same day. The race will start from the military football field and pass over Patum Bridge and Pobdi Bridge, covering 30 kms, before culminating at the Aalo market ground.
The army is also organizing a football tournament here to mark the Vijay Diwas celebration. (DIPRO)
