Shops damaged in Akashdeep fire

ITANAGAR, Dec 13: At least four shops were damaged in a fire accident that occurred at Akashdeep Complex here at around 2.30 pm on Wednesday.
The shops include three jewellery stores and one grocery store. Rescuers managed to retrieve several jewellery items.
Reportedly, the fire started from the grocery store, but the cause of fire could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
Upon receiving the news, Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan, along with the DDMO, the FO (DM), and a team of the SDRF rushed to the site of the incident.
The fire tenders managed to control the flames and no causalities were reported, informed the DDMO.
The DC has requested the residents of the Capital Complex to switch off all electrical appliances before leaving their shops or houses, and before going to bed. He has also requested for fire extinguishers to be installed in all the shops. (DIPRO)
