ITANAGAR, Dec 19: Kra Daadi district magistrate (DM), Pige Ligu, has declared the 12-hour Kra Daadi bandh on 20 December called by the All Kra Daadi District Students’ Union (AKDDSU) illegal under Section 144 CrPC and the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Preventive) Act.
‘Such bandhs cause untold misery and hardship to patients, students, and business community in particular, and the public at large,’ the order read.
Directing the AKDDSU to call off the bandh, the DM said penal action would be initiated against violators of the order.
