HAWAI, Dec 20: A team of elected representatives and government officers headed by Art & Culture Minister, Dr Mohesh Chai conducted a two-day tour of interior circles of Anjaw district as part of the intensive Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak campaign on Monday and Tuesday.
Addressing a public meeting at the Metengliang community hall on Monday, Dr Chai urged the people to avail of the benefits of government schemes and work together for the development of the area.
At Chaglongam, the minister urged the public and the government officials to work hand-in-hand for all-round development of the area.
Responding to a public memorandum, Hayuliang MLA Dasanglu Pul assured the villagers that their grievances would be addressed, while Deputy Commissioner Mamata Riba called upon the public to resolve their differences over road construction, saying development cannot reach the rural areas without road connectivity.
During his visit to the interior Goiliang circle on Tuesday, Dr Chai urged the villagers to extend wholehearted support to the elected representatives for the development of the area, while Dasanglu Pul sought their cooperation for implementation of government schemes.
The DC highlighted the voluntary activities taken up by officers of the district beyond their routine duties as a mark of their personal commitment to development.
A host of government officers and panchayat leaders also spoke. (DIPRO)
