PALIN, Jan 11: The Itanagar-based 138 battalion of the CRPF distributed 30 solar lanterns to the people here in Kra Daadi district on Thursday, as part of its civic action programme (CAP).
The gesture was aimed at building people-to-people contact and developing cordial relations with the villagers.
ADC S Lowang expressed gratitude to the CRPF for regularly conducting such programmes here, and for assisting the administration in maintaining law and order.
“Our civic action programmes will help in harnessing cooperation, and also provide help to the poor and the downtrodden of the district,” the battalion’s Commandant, Paras Nath, said.
The commandant, along with the ADC and others gave away the lanterns. (DIPRO)
