RKMS celebrates golden jubilee,MoS lauds RKM’s contributions

AALO Feb 3: “Ramakrishna Mission School (RKMS) is one of the best schools of the state and has produced many officers and statesmen who are currently handling the mantle of state administration,” said MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju on Friday while addressing the inaugural programme of the four-day golden jubilee celebration of the school here.
Rijiju lauded the yeoman services rendered by the Ramakrishna Mission and Math in the field of social uplift and education throughout India, and assured his support to the institution.
He released a souvenir titled ‘The Blosooming of Rama Krishna Mission in Aalo’.
Pioneers of the school – Boken Ete, Tapang Taki and late Tumpak Ete – were also felicitated.
Among others, 5 Mountain Brigade Commander Brig C Dayalan and senior swamis from different parts of the country attended the programme.
The second day of the golden jubilee celebration of the school saw the attendance of Education Minister Honchun Ngandam, Tourism Minister Jarkar Gamlin, and 44 BRTF commandant Col Sameer Malik on Saturday.
In his address, Ngandam lauded the RKM and the VKV for spreading Swami Vivekananda’s message of character-building and imparting quality education throughout the nation. He also assured all possible help and assistance to the RKM.
Ngandam released a book titled ‘Sister Nivedita for Children’ on the occasion.
Ramakrishna Math vice president Swami Gautamanandaji, Swami Sukatmanandaji and Swami Kripamayananda from Canada, and senior teacher TK Saha were among those present. (DIPRO)
