Over 300 register names during job mela

KHONSA, Mar 1: In all, 306 unemployed youths registered their names for different trades during a job mela-cum-skill development awareness and trainee selection rally held at the District Industries Centre, here on Wednesday.
All the committee members of the District level Skill Development & Entrepreneurship attended the programme.
Vocational Training Providers (VTPs) from three institutes viz: Skill Pvt Ltd Hyderabad, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Itanagar and National Youth Project, Itanagar participated in the job mela.
On the occasion, DDI, Pongrem Arangham explained the aims and objectives of the programme and Skill India Mission of the GoI, while in-charge Deputy Commissioner-cum-chairman of the committee, ADC Techu Aran urged the VTPs to take proper care of the trainees during training period as per direction of the Department of Skill Development, GoAP.
He called on the VTPs to be cautious during placement of youth in the private sector, so that they could continue their services and become skilled in their chosen trades.
He also advised the VTPs to maintain coordination with the authority of the concerned government department and private firms, where the trainees are placed and the concerned district level committee. (DIPRO)
