Forum seeks early disbursement of TAH compensation

ITANAGAR, Mar 14: Expressing concern over the inordinate delay in disbursement of land compensation in respect of the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Joram to Koloriang highway under Pistana to Deed Circle, the Land Affected Peoples Forum (LAPF), has in a letter to the Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday, appealed to him to immediately disburse the same to the affected families.
The forum claimed that the compensation amount has already been sanctioned by the MoRTH, GoI for payment of land affected under Pistana and Deed circle but the DC has not released the same yet despite repeated pleas by the affected people.
It further appealed to the DC to release the compensation amount as per government approved rate by maintaining transparency within the present month, and without any political interference in the disbursement process.
It has also threatened to resort to democratic movement in case its demands are not met within the stipulated time.
