ITANAGAR, Mar 19: The Arunachal Pradesh Anna Samarthak State Unit(ASSU), has in a memorandum to the Chief Minister on Monday, demanded early establishment of Lokayukta court/constituting of Lokayukta committee in state and its implementation.
“The state government had passed the Lokayukta Bill Act on March 5, 2014, but till date, the Lokayukta court has not been set up. In the absence of a Lokayukta court in the state, many corruption-related cases are still pending at the criminal courts,” the ASSU claimed and threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demands are not met with.
