ITANAGAR, Apr 18: The History Department of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), Itanagar in collaboration with Sahapedia, New Delhi celebrated World Heritage Day by organizing a heritage walk at Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum here on Wednesday.
The heritage walk, themed “Celebrating Heritage of Arunachal Pradesh at State Museum” was conducted with dual purpose of sensitizing the students on tangible and intangible heritage of the state and to encourage them to participate in their protection, preservation and appreciation.
Fifty two students of the department, led by faculty members Tsering Yangjom (Head), Jimmy Camdir Tok and Duli Ete, participated in the walk.
The Directorate of Research, Government of Arunachal Pradesh also endorsed the walk by waiving off the entry ticket to the museum.
