Meet on SIMI

ZIRO, Apr 18: The District Task Force on Immunization (DFTI) reviewed the preparedness of the Special Intensified Mission Indradhanush (SIMI) which was chaired Deputy Commissioner Kemo Lollen.
DRCHO Dr Derin Likar informed that the SIMI will be launched across the state in 299 villages indentified under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. This special immunization program aims to identify children between 0-2 years and pregnant women left out during the Mission Indradhanush and the regular immunization programmes, he further informed.
However, the members of the DFTI felt that the selection of villages in Lower Subansiri was not accurate as the villages that recorded almost 100 per cent immunization were also listed, while few remote villages with lower immunization percentage were missed out in the list of selected villages.
Lollen called for unified efforts from all the stakeholders to ensure all the left outs are identified and vaccinated.
ADC Nending Chatung, SMO Kime Horming, DANO Dr Anku, DDSE Hibu Tama, CDPO Kina Takka also attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
