NEHRO demands report on suspected militant attack

NAMSAI, Apr 21: Informing that a person was grievously injured during a suspected militant attack at Dirak check here on 26 March, the Arunachal Pradesh unit of the North East Human Rights Organization (NEHRO) has demanded that the home department come out with a concrete report on the incident.
One Ganesh Telenga (25), a resident of Kathalguri in Lekang circle of Namsai district, received grievous bullet injury during the suspected militant attack, informed NEHRO’s state unit general secretary Buteng Tayeng.
A pellet was reportedly removed from his left leg during an operation which he underwent at the Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh, said Tayeng.
He appealed to the state government to bear the medical expenses of the injured person on humanitarian ground.
Meanwhile, when contacted, the Mahadevpur police station OC confirmed the incident.
