ITANAGAR, Apr 23: Five people died in a road accident that occurred near Gensi in Lower Siang district last Friday.
According to a report, the Tata Sumo passenger vehicle the persons were travelling in fell into a gorge. Four passengers died on the spot while one injured, who was evacuated to Shillong for treatment,died on Sunday.
Three more people are reported to be seriously injured and currently undergoing treatment.
Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner AK Singh told this daily that the accident site is 35 km away from Gensi. He said the accident took place around 8.30 in the morning, adding that the victims are all local residents of the district.
