ANINI, Apr 28: Nodal officers of different schools, along with BLOs and supervisors of Dibang Valley district participated in a training programme on electoral literacy under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) 2016-2025 at the district election office (DEO) here on Saturday.
DLMT Uchuge Miuli imparted the training on electoral literacy to the participants.
ADC Gautom Hazarika advised the participants to disseminate electoral literacy and education among targeted persons, while EAC Toni Mitkong briefed them on the aims and objectives of the electoral literacy clubs in different schools and chunav pathsalas in all BLO segments.
A mock voting exercise was held for the participants, where the resource persons clarified their doubts.
Earlier in the morning, Gram Shakti Abhiyan was held here in coordination with the panchayati raj and the rural development ministry. The APEDA and EESL sold LED bulbs to the public at subsidized prices during the programme.
The ADC directed the APEDA officials to inform all beneficiaries regarding the availability of subsidized LED bulbs for all the villages. (DIPRO)
