DIRANG, Apr 28: The ICAR-National Research on Yak celebrated World Veterinary Day by organizing a daylong programme on the theme ‘The role of the veterinary profession in sustainable development to improve livelihoods, food security and safety’ here in West Kameng district on Saturday.
About 27 livestock farmers and villagers also participated in the interactive programme.
Drs Juwar Doley, Sourabh Deori, Dinamani Medhi and Vijay Paul, scientists of ICAR-NRC on Yak, and senior veterinarian Dr Darge Tsering acted as resource persons in the programme.
