APPDSU reiterates demand to abolish post of Capital Complex DDSE

ITANAGAR, May 2: The All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) has reiterated the demand for abolition of office of the DDSE, Capital Complex, stating that the post has been created only to serve political purpose.
The union claimed that creation of two DDSE offices in Papum Pare has hampered the implementation of various centrally sponsored flagship schemes in the district.
“Moreover, many senior teachers were posted in the lucrative designated posts under the establishment of DDSE Capital Complex unofficially prior to separation of plan for SSA, RMSA, MDM, etc for Capital Complex Itanagar”, it said.
The APDDSU made its stand clear that prior to declaration of Capital Complex district no separate Annual Work Plan and Budget of Capital Complex should be prepared in the name of Capital Complex giving district status.
It also sought clarification from the state government regarding the creation of office of the DDSE, Capital Complex, Deputy Commissioner, and all line departments in the name of Capital Complex without gazette notification for declaration of Capital Complex district.
“The Education department has miserably failed to transfer and post subject teachers in the remote schools of Mengio, Sagalee, Kimin, Papum Poma and Doimukh even after repeated submission of Memorandum and reminder to Minister Education, Commissioner Education, Secretary Education and Director of Elementary and Secondary Education,” APPDSU said, and threatened to launch a democratic movement if the state government and the Education department fail to fulfil all the demands of the union.
Further, it appealed to all the district students’ union and area-based students’ union to support the APPDSU to “drive out excess teachers posted in the Capital Complex” so that no districts are deprived of subject teachers.
