NSCN (IM), Myanmarese NSCN (K) militants apprehended

KHONSA, May 8: Security forces apprehended an NSCN (IM) militant from Tirap district during an operation on 8 May.
KIjen Thiaktey Wangsu, the Self Styled Rajapio of the outfit was apprehended from Longbu village, informed Kohima based defence Spokesperson Col C Konwer.
He defected from NSCN (U) in December, 2017 and joined the NSCN (IM) and had been carrying out extortion and other illegal activities for the group in various villages of the area since then, Col Konwer said.
On 6 May, security forces nabbed two Myanmarese NSCN (K) militants along with an over ground worker of the banned outfit from Mulong village of Changlang district.
The two Myanmarese militants were identified as Kumsai Munwa, (29) and Khemoth Ketnga (25). The over ground worker, who has been identified as Noksham Tuche, (40) is a resident of Nalim Village of Changlang district, the defence spokesperson said.
Security forces also recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), IED Activator with controller, four IED detonators, one mobile phone with SIM card and memory card containing underground videos.
